Why are you a Los Angeles Lakers basketball fan?
Because I grew up in southern California—Gardena to be exact.
How did you develop your art?
During my senior year in high school, I participated in my high school play and also took classes in perspective drawing and ceramics. My art teacher encouraged me to pursue art professionally. I went on to co-produce an album, complete several paintings, and continue to write creatively. Recently, I have taken courses in public speaking that included two classes in acting, which I love!
Why Art?
I love it. God has gifted me with the ability to create art and I desire to honor Him by serving others with my art. God has changed my life and I desire to share with others why God can help them through difficult times so they can experience joy and genuine love.
What art do you like?
I like impressionism. Monet is one of my favorite painters. I like the colors and interesting brush strokes.
Philosophically, I like art that is authentic and true.
Why do you keep talking about God?
Because I’m broken. If left to myself, I have seen that I will always choose to self-destruct. And once I accepted my inability to fix my mess-ups. I met Jesus, who died on a cross to pay God the Father’s wrath that should have fallen on me. I don’t deserve what Jesus did for me but I’m thankful that he chose to rescue me from the destruction inevitable in my life.
What is your most nurturing human relationship?
I’m happily married to my soul-mate. She’s my best friend and lover. We are so thankful God has brought us together and we look forward to growing old together. I can’t wait till we grow old enough to wear matching workout suits.
What’s your favorite candy?
Disneyland’s chocolate toffee bars covered with almonds. Mmmm.
Got any hobbies?
I enjoy playing guitar, reading fiction, watching the Lakers, and eating chicken and beef fajitas. And art. I especially like art in community.
